A new year always brings fresh energy to the Lincolnshire countryside. And here at Bainland Lodge Retreats, 2026 is already shaping up to be an exciting one. From new luxury additions to family adventures and even more dog friendly experiences, plenty has been quietly happening behind the scenes.

A Warm Welcome at The Nest

First things first, a very warm welcome has been given to Gavin, the new General Manager of The Nest.

With more than 20 years of hospitality experience behind him, a calm and thoughtful leadership style has been brought to Bainland Lodge Retreats. Guest experience sits firmly at the heart of everything he does. As a result, every visit to The Nest is designed to feel relaxed, welcoming and just a little bit special.

During your next Bainland stay, do pop in and say hello. Gavin is always happy to chat and can’t wait to meet many of our lovely guests.

New Luxuries Coming to Bainland in 2026

Some exciting luxury upgrades are currently on the way. And they’re additions our guests have been asking for.

Three brand new treatment rooms are now being created. Soon, indulgent facials and soothing massages will be offered right here. It will be the perfect way to slow down and truly unwind during your countryside retreat.

Meanwhile, a beautiful new poolside outdoor patio is also being added. Think bubbling hot tubs, comfortable sun loungers and a peaceful place to relax beside the Spa at Bainland.

In addition, the Bainland gym has been relocated into a larger space next to the Paddock. More room, more comfort and more ways to recharge during your stay. More details will be shared soon, so make sure you’re signed up to our newsletter to find out.

Zoomies, Jumps & Tail-Wagging Fun

At Bainland Lodge Retreats, dogs aren’t just welcome. They’re part of the family.

That’s exactly why a brand new dog playground has been introduced. And it’s already proving popular with our four-legged guests.

The enclosed agility space features a jump, seesaw, A-frame and tunnel. Plenty of room for zoomies has been included too. It’s a safe space where dogs can run freely, explore and properly stretch their legs.

Best of all, there’s no need to book. The dog playground is complimentary for all Bainland guests. Just another way your dog friendly escape is made that little bit more special.

Cocktail Masterclasses Have Arrived

Looking for something a little different to do during your luxury lodge stay? Something new has recently been introduced at Bainland.

Cocktail making masterclasses are now being offered for groups of 10 or more. They’ve already become a favourite for celebrations, group getaways and corporate stays. After all, a little friendly competition behind the bar always brings plenty of laughter.

Under the guidance of experienced bartenders, classic cocktails are shaken, stirred and perfected. A few professional tricks are shared along the way too. It’s relaxed, sociable and a brilliant way to spend an evening at Bainland Lodge Retreats.

Little Drivers, Big Adventures

Family friendly holidays at Bainland Lodge Retreats are all about adventure. And now there’s something brand new for younger guests to enjoy.

Introducing Crazi Bugz, an exciting off-roading experience designed for children aged 6 to 14.

Little drivers can take the wheel and tackle twists, turns and bumps on a purpose-built track. It’s safe, supervised and packed with fun. And naturally, it has quickly become one of the most talked about activities at Bainland.
