RAF Coningsby
An RAF Quick Reaction Alert Station that protects UK airspace, RAF Coningsby was built just before World War II and became the home of 617 Squadron, known as the Dambusters, during the second half of the war. The flyover operates Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters, Dakota and Chipmunk aircrafts flown by active RAF personnel. The grand country manor was transformed during the war times into a hospital in both the First and Second World Wars, playing a crucial role in treating many injured soldiers for decades. Years later, it became victim to a deadly fire that is now shrouded in mystery, and it is said that ghosts walk the halls.
